Slots Game

Casino-like slots game made with Godot

I just ended a freelance job and was eager to code something. I had watched The Maple Leafs Tragedy by the Kino Casino, gambling platforms were getting a lot of attention in Brazil at the time, I was just interviewed for a position I found out - during the interview - was to code slots games. Previously I got some job offerings to work on gambling platforms, which I declined.

I had this Casino/Gambling theme in mind at the time and something occurred to me: Could I make a slots game? How hard could it be?

So I did it.

The most interesting - or frightening - part about it is how addictive it is to just look at the images changing, the light patterns slowly dancing, the small tweaks I made so the presentation keeps changing so slightly after every turn you can't help but watch.

I have not done an extensive study about slots machines design, I made this game with my shallow familiarity with the subject matter and my 10+ years studying games. My insights were to make it more interesting, not necessarily addicting.

How much more addictive could it become if done by a better designer than I with more resources, a client and deadlines?

I will never release the source-code of this project.
