My blog and personal website made with WordPress.
I am publishing a new post everyday since the begining of this year. Initially I was publishing these posts on Tumblr due to its convenience. I needed an online post manager and editor, which Tumblr had. It let me blog from anywhere, on any device.
Not owning the platform I was using daily bothered me a lot. I needed my own site, but I needed Tumblr's convenience. The solution: WordPress.
Years ago I had toyed with WordPress and I had some familiarity with the system.
I upgraded my VPS, installed a more up-to-date O.S. on it. This doubled my hosting costs and I erased all my sites, which I had to re-host one by one. In the other hand: I made a WordPress site to host my daily blog.
I used a free theme that I customized as I pleased. The site has a dark theme with green highlights and accents. I kept Sato's Magi Frog as mascot/icon for the site.
The worst part of the experiment was to re-upload all my sites, and some of them still don't work 100%.
Now I can create and host my own WordPress sites, which makes it all worthwhile. I talk about some of these sites in other posts.
