First of October Sync Radio
I built a sync radio for the First of October Fansite.
After getting over the post-project blues from June in VNs, I wanted to create something. Every year I add something to the fansite, so I begin to figure out what would I add this year. I liked the idea of a FOO Radio, a site to visit and just listen a 24/7 stream of FOO's songs. I also like the idea of all fans listening to the same song together. I also like the idea of not having a server making the heavy lifting.
I built a website that plays youtube videos on a local playlist and keeps track of which song is playing and the current playtime. This is done via code on client-side, no syncing with the server. I call this pseudo-radio sync radio. I think I could expand this concept to other types of videos... I have some tinkering to do.
As of today, FOO Radio is in beta and will be officialy launched on October First.
